Lake Gibson (Lakeland) claimed the inaugural Class 2A Wrestling Duals State Championship at the event in Kissimmee.

Choctawhatchee (Fort Walton Beach) claimed its first ever title, taking home the Class 7A crown at the UNF Arena in Jacksonville during the 2017 Girls Volleyball State Championships.

Venice ran away from Bartram Trail (St. Johns) early in a 37-24 victory to claim the Class 7A State Championship at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Somerset Prep (North Lauderdale) claimed the school's first ever girls basketball title with a 70-34 victory over Orlando Christian Prep during the 2018 Class 3A Girls Basketball State Championships.

Lake Gibson (Lakeland) finally broke through for its first team championship by dethroning perennial favorite Brandon in the Class 2A Individual Wrestling State Championships during the 2018 event in Kissimmee.
